After producing <em>L\u00e9olo<\/em> by Jean-Claude Lauzon and the cult TV series <em>L\u2019Ombre de l\u2019\u00c9pervier<\/em>, she founded Lyla Films and went on to deliver a string of successes: <em>Les Muses orphelines<\/em>, <em>Camping Sauvage<\/em>, <em>Un dimanche \u00e0 Kigali<\/em>, Carole Laure\u2019s <em>La Capture<\/em>, <em>Maman est chez le coiffeur<\/em>, and L\u00e9a Pool\u2019s <em>La derni\u00e8re fugue<\/em>. She also established herself on the international scene with Jalil Lespert\u2019s <em>24 Mesures<\/em>, Xavier Dolan\u2019s <em>Laurence Anyways<\/em> and <em>The Death and Life of John F. Donovan<\/em>, Walter Salles\u2019 <em>On the Road<\/em>, Richard J. Lewis\u2019 <em>Barney\u2019s Version<\/em>, and Fran\u00e7ois Girard\u2019s <em>The Song of Names<\/em>.<\/p>\n<p>Since 2004, Fran\u00e7ois Tremblay has been her creative partner. Together, they produced <em>L\u2019Empire BO$$\u00c9<\/em>, Carole Laure\u2019s <em>Love Projet<\/em>, <em>La passion d\u2019Augustine<\/em> (winner of six awards at the Quebec Cinema Gala), <em>Et au pire, on se mariera<\/em>, and L\u00e9a Pool\u2019s <em>H\u00f4tel Silence<\/em>. Tremblay also produced Pol Cruchten\u2019s <em>Justice Dot Net<\/em> and Louis B\u00e9langer\u2019s <em>Vivre \u00e0 100 milles \u00e0 l\u2019heure<\/em>, which won the Audience Award at the FCVQ.<\/p>\n<p>More recently, LYLA Films produced <em>On sera heureux (<\/em><em>We&#8217;ll Find Happiness)<\/em>, a film by Lea Pool, a screenplay by Michel Marc Bouchard winner of the Jury Prize at Cinemania.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p><em>2013-01-11<\/em> &#8211; LYLA FILMS For more than forty years, Lyse Lafontaine has left her mark on both Quebec and international cinema with landmark works.
